TV Guide: What was your reaction  that you were getting your own show?

David Boreanaz: "When Joss presented it to me, we were shooting a (flashback) scene in a confessional booth and I was in a period costume. I was just concerned about getting my Irish accent right."

David Boreanaz, star of Angel, was only in the second season of Buffy as he started wrapping up his role to start his own show.

By the end of season 3, Angel finally said a good-bye to Buffy and left for Los Angeles, not to be mistaken, Angel had not left Buffy for good. He made plenty of guest star appearances and Cross-Over show events to go around.

Now Angel wasn't the only former Buffy character who moved to LA. the snobbish-sweety Cordelia Chase joined the show in the very beginning. The remaining slot of the original cast went to the half-demon good guy, Doyal.

The show went on one season with Doyal as part of the cast until he gave his last heroic to the show by giving his life for a clan of demons.

Later adding to the Angel crew was the former Watcher from Buffy, Wesely. After that came characters like Gun, Fred, and, the bad-guy-gone-good, Spike, who joined the team after Buffy's last show.

The show started out experiencing a new demon every week until it finally started getting into its drama-rama. Connor, Angel's son, with a hate for his father and a desire for Cordelia joined the crew for a short period of the show.

With the recent celebration of their 100th show, the Angel cast and crew looks towards the future and think about what kind of turns the show is going to make and if it can live up to Buffy.

TV Guide: Where does the show go from here?

Whedon: "Things are going to get worse before they get better. That's assuming they get better. We're not about to make Angel happy anytime soon."
