The electric guitar an awesome instrument that has a very unique sound. With an electric guitar you can get a real heavy and distorted sound, or a cool bluesy mellow sound. For an electric guitar to function properly they have certain pieces on them called humbuckers. Humbuckers pickup vibrations from the strings using magnets. Once this occurs these vibrations are then sent through an amplifier. Depending on the quality of these humbuckers, electric guitars can be quite pricey.
