In the fall of 2003, I got a chance to have a first hand look at working at a haunted house. When I heard Phanoms needed workers, I got a bunch of my friends together and took them to the house.You can show up at the house anywhere between 5 and 6. When you first arrive at Phantoms in the Park you have wait outside the house until Trixie (The woman in change of the actors) arrives.Then they let you into the actors room. In the actors room, they assign where you will work. When you're assigned your spot, you put on the costume and someone does your make-up. I thought working there would be easy. I thought that you could fool around the whole time and there wasn't any rules. Well I was wrong. There are many rules there you need a good scream and you can't fool around. After my first weekend there I began to learn what you should bring while working there. The two things I found most important were gloves and throat drops.
