Here are several things that would be a good choice when starting a paintball career.
This is the Spyder Sonix kit.  I have this marker it is very reliable and the kit is only $150-$200. I give this gun a 8/10.

This is the Core XT it is a good starting gun and it is reliable  I give this kit a 7/10 and it is $150.

If you buy a gun separately usually it doesn't come with a Co2 tank but kits usually do.  Co2 is pretty much the gun powder it propels the ball so it is an essential. The come in a variety of sizes from 12g to 20g.     This is an example of a kit and what it is.  This is a Spyder Compact kit it is a OK gun but it is sort of out dated I would give t a 7/10. Almost every gun comes with a barrel but, if it doesn't or you are not happy with yours you con get a new one.  If your gun doesn't have a barrel  you can forget about accuracy.  This is the Spyder Boomstick it is 21in and is about $80-$100.

If you don't have a hopper you can only fit about 5 or 6 paintballs into your gun. This hopper is a Halo hopper it is motorized.  You don't need a motorized hopper unless you have a gun with full-auto capability and this hopper goes for $90-$100. This is the B2K kit it is a great gun but it comes with a hefty price.  This kit gets a 9/10 and it is $500-$520.

If you want to play paintball it is imperative to have a mask.  It protects your face especially your eyes so you don't lose them.  Paintballs will blind you if they hit your eye.  This mask is a $40-$50 mask.

This is the Ronan Black Dragon kit it is a good gun and it comes with great gear. this kit is a $300-$350kit and it gets a 8/10. This is the Diablo Mongoose It is a semi-auto with also full-auto capability.  It gets a 8/10 and it coasts $200.
