Phil Mickelson was born on June 16, 1970 in San Diego, California.

Mickelson is the only person to win back to back NCAA men's golf titles since  Scott Simpson in 1976-77.

In the 1990-91 season, Mickelson placed in the top ten in all 11 of his tournaments.
