This is the Story of Alkaline Trio

Alkaline Trio....formed in 1996 by Matt Skiba  (Guitar/vocals), Glenn Porter (Drums), and Rob Doran (Bass/Vocals). The first shows where at Chicago's Fire side Bowl.  This Line up Recorded a Self-released Demo tapes in Heathers Apartment (Heather is a Friend of Alkaline Trio she designs  most of there Graphics) and the Sundials 7" single released on Johannes Face Records in 1996-97, prior to Rob departure. He was soon Replaced by Dan Andriano (Bass/Vocals) who made his debute on 1997's "For Your Lungs only EP". The Trio's first CD's "God****it" (1998), threw a darker side of punk that some fans couldn't  help but love. Glenn Helped Record there second CD's "Maybe I'll Catch Fire" in 1999 But left Prior to it's Release in February 2000. >        ^Left to Right Dan, Derek, and Matt^

^Heather Hannoura the Alkaline Trio Artist and Merchandise mover  she met Matt and Glenn (Original Drummer) when they where bike messengers in Chicago. She Has Been with them since the beginning.

> Glenn was replaced by Mike Felumlee (Drums). In 2000 Alkaline Trio Released a self-Tilted CD's That was a Collection of tracks from past out of print EP's and other rare songs.  Mike made his Debute on march 2001's "Hell Yes 7" single. In 2001 the band switch Record companies from the small independent label Asian Man Records to the slightly bigger Vagrant Records for the release of there next CD "From Here To Infirmary. this album planted a seed of darker punk into the mainstream. Although many critics dislike Alkaline Trio more and more fans kept coming to shows. After "From Here to Infirmary" the Latest band member switch after Mike Felumlee Left the band. He was Replaced by Derek Grant (Drums). Matt is the only Original member of Alkaline Trio. 2002 after Touring with Hot Water Music on the Plea for Peace Tour, They Recorded a Split CD. "Alkaline Trio\Hot Water Music split CD" this was released in January on Jade Tree Records.  Alkaline Trio was on the 2002 "Plea for Peace/Take Action" Compilation, "Atticus Dragging in the Lake", and "Atticus Dragging in the Lake 2". In 2003 the next ALK3 CD was Released on Vagrant Records. "Good Mourning" with it's songs about love, loss, Beer, God and Satan, Happiness, and Pain. Alkaline Trio Offers up a Darker Slice of Punk Rock.
