Midfield is the main position on a lacrosse field. The Midfielder can run anywhere on the field at anytime. The center midfielders on both teams take the faceoff. Each team has two wingers, one to the right and one to the left of the center. |

Attack is another important position. There are three attackmen, left, right, and center. The attackmen stay on the side of the opposing goalie. They cannot pass the midieild line during any point in play. The attack sets up plays around the goal, and the attack score most of the goals. |

There are also three defensive players. They cover the attack on the opposing team. So, they play on the side of their own goalie. They also cannot pass the midfeild line at any point in play. They use a longer shaft then midfielders or attack. |

The goalie is the toughest person on the field. Each team has one, they use a special larger head on their stick to stop the ball easier. Also, they wear a chest guard and a throat protector. The goalie probably takes the most beating from getting the balls shot at them. |
