Hot rods

The first hot rods where model A's that people got for next to nothing and put what ever they could afford or find on the cars to make them look cool. The model A hot rod was also the most common.
	There where other cars that were turned into hot rods but the way the people  got them and the way they customized them remand the same. Some of the other cars that were used as hot rods were The 50's Mercury witch was also popular
The hot rods that where built back then where no wear near as flashy as the ones that are built today and the reason for that is because today people spend tons of money on there car. But back then tar cars were nice but like I said before they put what ever they could find in a junk yard or what they could buy off a buddy or in a discount part store.
	Most of the hot rods where cars but some where trucks  the trucks they used where old 50's Chevy or ford step-sides.
Most of these cars and trucks they used for hot rods already had big V-8's but not big enough for the people that built these cars they would usually hollow out the pistons well or they would put four barrel carburetors in the engines or they put a super charge in it and some would put blowers on them or a combo of these. But some people put turbo charges in it. Their are many other ways to boost horse power but I can't list them all. .
	These cars can be customized from the ground or they could only have a customized interior or engine it all depends on your skill level and level of commitment. Another deciding factor is how much cash your willing to put into your car

To day just because you have a hot rod dose not mean that you know how to customize a car now all that you have to do is go to a company and yank out your check book and you have a really cool looking car the old times when you could tell how much some one know about  cars just by looking at his car are no more.
	The other thing that might stop you from owning a hot rod is the size of the interior of the car a man that is six feet tall mite have a hard time sitting in a model A hot rod comfortably and like I said before the model A is the most popular hot rod.
