Hitting is crucial to baseball and having the best equipment will give you the advantage to being an effective hitter. The best bat is the Connexion2003 the scandium 888 alloy can take any contact hitter and turn them into a homerun hitter in no time. The two piece technology with the rubber sting stopper makes for almost no sting.  Although, if you are to buy this bat you may want to invest in a better handle. Easton's grips are smooth and after sweat washes some of it away they may become slippery. I suggest maybe could batting gloves and pine tar, or stripping an older handle off another bat. Overall the Connexion2003 is the best bat out there and is well worth the money. It is best to purchase this at www.fogdog.com and do a search for bats.

Because of the Connexions two piece  technology some people may prefer a lighter bat I suggest the Louisville Slugger TPX Response or other related  models such as the GEN1X, GEN1X Deuce, Air GEN1X, or Air GEN1X Response.
Another good bat I suggest is the Zcore. It is a solid bat made by Easton that is always live. It has good bounce and doesn't die quickly on you. The vibrations are good although sometimes it may sting a little. When you hit it in the sweet spot there's no need to worry about it. The Zcore overall is a fine bat by Easton but again you may want to get a better handle.
If your parents are cheap and buy you a reflex, well good luck. You get what you pay for. You can find this bat for a minimum of about $80 and you will get almost nothing I return. The bat has no sting stop and continually rings. The bounce off the bat is terrible and it never stops vibrating. If you don't hit the ball right on the barrel you will be in pain. So, I suggest if your parents stiff you on the bat at least buy good batting gloves.
According to Richard Doolin the owner of  a Easton BZ87 Triple 7 bat is great. He pounds the ball with ease. Although he suggest to get a better handle or good batting gloves for a better grip.
Also if your parents are cheap they can purchase you last year's model of the CONNNEXION, which is fine just not quite as good as this years, but nonetheless, still a good choice.
An expensive bat I'm not too sure about is the DeMarini Vexxum, DeMarini has produced severeal good bats and this is the first baseball bat to combine a composite handle with an aluminum alloy barrel.
The Easton BZ800 888 according to Sean Coyne aspiring baseball star is a must for any player. The Triple Eight Advanced Metal Matrix and Blasting Cap, meet college and high school bat standards.
