356 were built from 1948 to 1965. 65,000 types of 356's were built over the time period. You could get either a hard top or a convertible in a 356 model. All 356's are always 2-seaters. Nowadays you could find a 356 for at least $35,000.
Speedsters were made from 1954 to 1959. The original cost of a speedster was $2,995. There were 4,244 speedsters ever made. Speedsters were the bottom of the line when they came out. Now they are very expensive. Today speedsters are close to $100,000.
911's were made from 1964 through today. 911's are rear engined, with a gas tank in the front. They were the most popular Porsches ever made. Some models are faster than 175 m.p.h. New 911's cost over $100,000.
917 is only used for racing. They can go up to 230 m.p.h. at least. They won the 1970 Le Mans race. These are very expensive yet very nice cars. In today's market you could find a 917 for half a million dollars.
Rs Spyders were designed in 1952 and stopped being made in 1962. Rs Spyder were based upon the 356 design. It is unknown ,frankly, how many were made. Aluminum is used for on the body to save weight.
