| Many Indian tribes used to live in Colorado, but the tribe that stayed continusly was the Ute Mountain tribe. They became nomadic in the 1800s. There ancestors still exist and live in Colorado today. Most can even read the pictographs. Many things were left behind by this tribe, such as pictographs, geological land formations, petrographs, artifacts and their dwellings.
