A place to go would be the theatre. Even though it is 140 years old, it is still elegant. It can hold 10,000 people, because there are nine seperate theaters. It's elaborately staged with famous operas and stars in those operas. It hosts 3 classical or new operas. So maybe the theatre is a place you may want to visit.
You can always hear live music in the summer. One of the places you may go are the Colorado Springs called the Smokebrush Foundation. It originally was a church, but now it produces live productions. Another place would be the Red Rocks Ampitheater. It over looks Denver. On it's stage appears pop music stars all summer long. Also in Aspen and Beaveridge presents classical music festivals each summer.
You might want to visit the art galleries. Which are held in Aspen, Beaver Creek, Durango, Tellurde, Colorado Springs, Denver. On the fourth of July starts the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. Hundreds of artists, sculptors, potters and photographers exhibits are there.
If you like history you should visit the museums. There's the Black American West museum. Where you can learn history of African American Cowboys. Or you can visit the Denver museum of nature and science. There are 80 wildlife diaramas. A Planetarium and I max theater. This is the fourth largest museum of it's kind in the country.
State fairs are a big attractions One of the biggest state fairs is the one in pueblo. It starts at mid-August to Labor Day weekend in September. Top country/western Entertainers perform in concert. There's a rodeo. Livestock and exhibits fill the fair grounds. There's even a big Renaissance Festival with Knights.
