| Skiing is one of the most biggest attractions in Colorado. Everyone goes to Colorado to ski. It's home to 24 ski resorts. The skiing season lasts from October to mid May. There are 55 mountain peaks and over 14,000 feet high. With mountains being this high some people may get altitude sickness. The cause is a sending to rapidly, on high elevations. (usually 8,000 feet and higher) Some symptoms are headache, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, tightness of the chest and shortness of breath. Most people don't get this, but there are some people who do. A good thing about Colorado is that they get 300 days of sunshine. | ![]() |

Another spectacular attraction would be the hot water springs. Many people go there to relax. Hot water springs are located though out the state. Although mostly found in the western half. Produced by geothermal activity. They typically originate when surface water seeps deep into the ground, then comes in contact with molten rock, in places where it lies closet to the surface. Then there water rises though the rock strata. Colorado counts nearly 50 hot and warm water springs. Which range from 68 degrees fahrenheit to 181 degrees fahrenheit. |
| Colorado has tons of hiking trails. They have some that are good for the family, others are harder for the more serious hiker. So there are different levels of hiking from beggainer to professional. The trails are open all year round if weather permits it. There are different and many sites to see in each trail. For the last big attraction. Who can forget white water rafting. There are many places in Colorado and rivers to choose from. Again some are harder than others. Some rivers are just for family fun, others just leave to the professionals. So whatever river you pick, your sure to have fun. |
