Celine Dion is a native of Charlemagne, Quebec, Canada.  She is the first French-Canadian performer to achieve superstar status throughout North America.  She debuted her first English disk in 1990, onlt one year after learning the language.  This CD produced four hit singles, but her true breakthrough arrived with the soundtrack of "The beauty and the Beast."

Mariah has become the best-selling female performer of all time.  She has achieved 15 #1 singles and two Grammys.  She also became the only artist to top the charts each year of the 90's. Then with the song "Heartbreaker", she beat the Beatles as the artist with the most cumulative weeks spent at the top of Billboards Hot 100 Singles chart.

LeAnn Rimes was only 13 years old when she won 2 Grammy Awards for "Blue", her 1996 major label debut.  She was the youngest nominee ever at the 1996 CMA awards, but she didn't win an award until 1997 when she won the Hroizon Award.  Also in 1997 LeAnn won Best New Artist, Best Female Country, and Best Country song for "Blue" at the Grammys.
