Diseases of Horses

Horses can get lots of kinds of different diseases. Here are a few and how you can treat them.

Usually a horse with Lyme disease will show an unexplained reluctance to move, as if sore all over, and/or transitory lameness that can not be ascribed to any specific cause. Lyme disease can be effectively treated with various antibiotics, however, diagnosis can be tricky.
Malabsorption occurs when the horse’s digestive system cannot absorb nutrients from the digestive track. Of course these symptoms occur in other more treatable diseases, particularly parasitism and malnutrition.
