Different Types of Horses

There are so many different types of horses out there. So many that you might not know some of the exotic ones. Here are some of the many horses in this world.

This is the Icelandic Pony. They have occupied a place in the lives of Icelanders for over 1,000 years.
The Quarter Horse is the first all American breed. It was bred in Virginia and the Seaboard Settlements in the seventeenth century.
The Arabian Horse is the most beautiful of all. The Arabian is between 14.2 and 15hh. It is the purest and oldest of all breeds.

 

 

Palomino.jpg (11693 bytes) The Palomino Horse is bred in America, they have a golden coat color. Palominos are much in demand in western riding activities.
The Pinto Horse desends from Spanish horses brought to America in the sixteenth century. The pinto is originally called a Paint horse. wpe1B.jpg (14715 bytes)
ANDALUSIAN horse picture.jpg (22358 bytes) The Andalusian Horse for centuries was known as the Spanish horse. They were bred in old spain, in Seville and Cordoba. They usually stand 15.2hh.
The Caspian Horse is between 10 and 12hh. It is the most ancient breed in existence. They can be found in Britian, Australia and New Zealand.
The Friesian Horse is a descendant of the Forest Horse of Europe. It is bred in the Netherlands and in Holland. It stands 15hh.
