Different kinds of monkeys

 

+ This is a spider monkey. Spider monkeys are really large monkeys.

These kinds of monkeys associate in groups. These groups have 20 monkeys in it. These kinds of monkeys have flexible shoulder joints witch allow them to swing  from branch to branch. Since these are one of the larger type of monkeys they don't need the protection that the smaller monkeys would need.

 

 
The Capuchin monkey 

Behavior- It lives in quite large groups, hidden among the dense arboreal vegetation of the forest it descends to the ground only to drink. Each group has its own home range-often quite extensive-in which the members move about in search of the most abundant feeding grounds. The various members of the group remain in contact with one another by calling. In order to keep their sense of direction and mark territory they leave a scent amount the foliage of the trees by soaking their feet and hands in their urine.

 

 

This is an Angurs  monkey which is are often called leaf monkeys because of their diet. Many animals are also diet eaters.They like to eat seed,buds,blossoms,and fruite. Sometimes they are even called the old women because of there wrinkled faces.

 

The Humboldt’s woolly monkey

This is the Humboldts wolly monkey.Humboldt’s woolly monkey has a patchy distribution throughout the rain forests of the western part of the Amazon Basin.

The colobus monkey

This is a colobus monkey.They are only found in Africa.They eat large amonts of leaves.They also get hunted by humands for there fur.One of the emenies is the chimpanziee. They are really good climbers.

 

 

 

The Barbary ape

This is the Barbary ape it lives in northern Algeria.Its eatseats roots, leaves, bark, fruit, and even small invertebrates.This ape grows up to to a size of 11 to 15 kg They live in forests.
