An induction plaque is a plaque that is given to honor a player when they are inducted into the Hall of Fame. On the plaque it shows the player name, when the player was born and when he died (if not still alive), and all the teams you played for. The main thing it shows is the plaque shows some of your major highlights in their career.

 

"The pitcher has only got a ball. I’ve got a bat. So the percentage in weapons is in my favor and I let the fellow with the ball do the fretting." -Hank Aaron

Hank Aaron holds one of the most well known records today: the all-time career home run record. He played from 1954 to 1976. Aaron was inducted in 1982.

"Awards mean a lot, but they don’t say it all. The people in baseball mean more to me than statistics." –Ernie Banks

Ernie Banks played for the Chicago Cubs from 1953 to 1971. He was an amazing shortstop. Banks was inducted in 1977.

 

 

"I can throw out any man alive." –Johnny Bench

Johnny Bench played for the Cincinnati Reds all of his life from 1967 to 1983. Johnny Bench had a strong arm and did have the power to throw out any man alive. He was inducted in 1989.

"A nickel ain’t worth a dime anymore." –Yogi Berra

Yogi Berra played for both the New York teams: The Yankees from 1946 to 1963 and the Mets in 1965. Like Bench, Berra was also a good catcher and was a pretty good hitter, too. He was always an All-Star. Berra was inducted in 1972.

 

"All I had was natural ability." –Mickey Mantle

Mickey Mantle played for the New York Yankees his entire career from 1951 to 1968.  Mickey is on the home run list and is positioned somewhere under 15th place.  Unfortunately, Mantle had to quit as a result of injuries on the hips and knees.

"Baseball is like a poker game.  Nobody wants to quit when they are loosing and nobody wants you to quit when your ahead." -Jackie Robinson

Jackie Robinson played for the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1947 to 1956 in his major league career.  Robinson won many MVP awards i his career and set a lot of records as a second basemen.  Jackie was the first colored person to play in the Major Leagues.

 

"Cadillacs are down at the end of the bat." –Ralph Kiner

Ralph kiner played for the Pirates, Cubs, nad indians in a 9 year stretch.he was a big contribution to all three teams because of his astonishing fielding and hitting. He was inducted in 1975.

"I am convinced that God wanted me to be a baseball player. I was born to play baseball." –Roberto Clemente

Roberto Clemente was an outstanding outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1955 to 1972. He gained exactly 3,000 hits in his career. He tradgically died in a plane crash in 1972. He was inducted in 1973.

 

 

"I love September, especially when were in it." -Willie Stargell

Willie Stargell played for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1962 to 1982.  Stargell was one of the most potent power hitters of the time when he was playing.  He had 475 homers in his career which earned himself a good spot in the home run list

"If I had to choose between a pennant and a Triple Crown, I would choose a pennant every time." -Carl Yastrzemski

Carl Yastrzemski played for the Boston Red Sox his entire career from 1961 to 1983.  he won the MVP and Triple Crown awards in 1967 and led the red Sox to win the pennant that year which baseball fans thought was impossible.
