Over the years, baseball has played a major role in entertainment and recreation in the United States and in other countries.  The men who have played this sport in the last 100 years have become legends on the field and have made up America's Baseball Hall of Fame.  The Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York is full of many great players who have filled our lives with excitement in the sport of baseball.

The players on the field who show the best ability to play the game are the ones who get into The National Baseball Hall of Fame.  The great players, who we still talk about today, range from Babe Ruth all the way to Ozzie Smith.  what they did on the field or at the plat will always be astonishing to most people, but to the players, they are just doing what they do best: playing the game of baseball.  the announcers of the games always made it seem like the people who were listening on the radio were actually at the game.  When they put Alexander Joy Cartwright, the creator of baseball, in the Hall of Fame, they knew that there would be more to come.  There is no place better the The National Baseball Hall of Fame: a place full of great players, creators, and announcers.

Below is a picture of the National Baseball Hall of Fame which many great players had the chance to be inducted into.  It was built in 1871, but players were not inducted into it until 1936 (six players were inducted in 1936).
