In Chicago fame is something that everyone wants and is very hard to keep Velma Kelly is the one at the top until she shoots her husband and her sister. Then Roxie Hart (a young girl who has wanted fame all of her life) meets a man at the famous Onyx club in New York, who sayshe can bring her fame and fortune, but when he goes back on his promise she kills him.  While in jail she meets Matron "Mama" Morton who give her the number of the one the only Billy Flynn.  He then get her and her nemesis Velma Kelly off the hook. They then team up at the end of the movie and become famous.
