Catherine Zeta-Jones plays Velma Kelly this movie. She works also with Renee Zellweger , Richard Gere and Queen Latifah. In the movie she plays a singer in Chicago who dances on the stage. But then she kills her sister and husband. She then gets sent to "Murderesses Row" and there she meets Roxie Hart. Then towards the ned of the movie she tries to get Roxie to do the act that her and her sister did. But Roxie turned down the offer. Then at the end of the movie when they both get off the hook, Velma meets up with Roxie and convinces her that if they do an act together that people will like them. So then they end up dong there show together and it all works out in the end. Zeta-Jones had grown up around singing and dancing unlike Zellweger. So she had a lot of fun helping Zellweger throughout the movie. She also had fun doing the movie herself. In this movie Roxie completely adores Velma. But when they meet in jail they do not get along right away. But then Velma gets jealous of Roxie because she is famous. And they end up becoming friends and having an act together.
