All early GT-350s carried the Borg-Warner T-10 four speed gearbox. The
first, named GT-350 for no particular reason, was a super-tuned version
of Ford's new 1965-66 "pony car" a conversion carried out by
Caroll. |

The Ford 428 V-8 Found its way beneath the hood of the second-generation
Shelby Mustangs in 1967 and 1968. The G. T. 500 was not only powerful car,
but also the most aggressively styled Shelby Mustang Built. Horsepower
ranged from 360-400 depending on weather the car was equipped with the 428
or the optional 427.

This is a 1968 Shelby Cobra GT 350. It has the optional dealer installed
Paxton Supercharger. Also a big block horse power from a 302. Plus it has
the Shelby American aluminum wheels.

beams (not fog) were a problem. It also has an automatic transmission and
air conditioning were available options. |

This is a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT 500. It is number 932 of 3,225. It's equipped
with a 428 police interceptor dual quad 600 cfm carbs and Ford top
loader 4-speed transmission, and a 9in Ford rearendtraction lock.
