The Rings of Power

Long ago in the second age of middle-earth, there were forged 19 Great Rings.  Each having long life and magical powers.  But Sauron the Dark Lord of Mordor created a Ruling Ring.  Mixing gold with his own blood.  By which he intended to bring all the other rings under his own control.  Inside of Mount Doom he created it and over he chanted the Ring-spell which would bring the ring to life.

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky

Seven for Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone

Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die

One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

In the land of Mordor where the Shadows Lie

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them

One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadow Lie.

On the hills of Mount Doom the elves and men drove back Sauron's forces.  Elven-king Gil-galad an immortal lord was born to never die.  Gil-galad died from the Dark Lord Sauron's sword.  Gil-galad's son Isidur took the sword and struck the Dark Lord's hand, which who was wearing the One Ring.  Therefore breaking Sauron's strength and his power.

"So small a thing..."

The Ring would been destroyed.  But Isidur refused to destroy the ring thinking he could use it for the good of his people.  Isidur carried the ring until he became a victim to the orcs.  Isidur was killed and the ring was lost once more.  For thousands of years Sauron has been rebuilding his armies and   searching for the Ruling Ring.
