The 3 pictures above are of an Alaskan Malamute, Siberian Husky, and a Wolf. Can you tell which is which? Most people can't since they all have such a close resemblance. The Alaskan Malamute has a slightly larger head and the Siberian husky is the smallest. From the left to right is the Siberian Husky, Wolf, and the Alaskan Malamutes. The first to own an Alaskan Malamute were the Mahlemut people. They treasured their dogs. The Mahlemut people treated their dogs just as well as they treated their families. These people suffered just as much as the Artic people. In hard times when food was scarce both the dogs and people had nothing to eat.
Alaskan Malamutes and children have always made a great combination. But even the most trust worthy malamutes should not be left alone with a child.
