BMX started when a video called RAD came out. It came out in the late 70's. Kids started to try BMX stunts they saw in the video. But their cruising bikes couldn't handle the stress. So bike companies started coming out with specific BMX made bikes.
Racing started around that time. People who rode BMX wore colorful outfits and performed weird tricks.
