Band Bios

Name: Chester Bennington (Chazy Chaz)

Summary: Chester was born in Phoenix, Arizona and from the age of two loved singing. Was a nerd in school and did drugs. Luckily he turned his life around after school, finding love, quitting drugs, and getting married. He sang for a band called Grey Daze in the beginning of his career, releasing two albums. After 9 years of solo and band singing, he met up with Hybrid Theory. He joined the band and immediately gelled with the group.

Influeces: Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against the Machiene, Minestry, Lava Boy, and Foreigned.

Name: Mike Shinoda (Akira)

Summary: Mike and Brad form the very back bone of what is now Linkin Park. During Jr. High, Mike and Brad became friends and talked about creating a band.  Though keeping in contact with Brad, Mike moved on to college and met Joe Hahn. The two became friends and jammed together as often as they could. Mike raps with Linkin Park.

Influences: Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Rap (in general)

Name: Brad Delson (Big Bad Brad)

Summary: Brad along with Mike form the very backbone of what has now become Linkin Park. During Jr. High when Mike and Brad became friends, Brad's passion for the guitarmade him an exelent player. Though Brad and Mike's interests in music was a little different, they still got along great.

Rob's Bio (drums)

Name: Rob Bourdon

Summary: While Super Xero was still in the making, the band struck a miracle in finding Rob Bourdon an already seasoned drummer. He imediatly joined the band and began his career in Linkin Park. Rob is a  big fan of funk music, dating back to the 1970's. Rob keeps the band tight for there live show, making sure everyone is playing 100%.

Influences: Earth Wind and Fire, James Brown Band, Funk (in general)

Name: Joe Hahn (Mr Hahn)

Summary: Joe Hahn met Mike Shinoda during college at the Pasadena Arts Center. Both Mike and Joe loved rap. But Joe was more interested in the sounds behind the rapping. He was amazed by the different sounds he heard. Joe imidiatly found his way into the band. During the time before the band really took off, he designed special effects for a movie.

Name: Pheonix Farell (Phi Phi)

Summary: Dave joined up with the band during it's infacy while it was still under the name Super Xero. Dave adopted the alias "Pheonix" and played bass for the band. The band then changed it's name to Hybrid Therory and toured in the San Franciso area. During this time cash was scarce and after moths of attempting to go big, Pheonix left Hybrid Therory for personal reasons and played with his former band "The Snax". Later after the signing of a deal with Warner Bros., Pheonix rejoined the band.
