All eight of these players play forward or midfield.  Midfield is kind of  like a forward but they have to run up and down the field with the ball.  And forwards just sit there and wait for the ball.

The forwards are the players who are in front of there team when they are playing.  Midfielder are behind them, they are in the middle of the field.  Sometime in the game they could be playing defense cause when their defense dribbles the ball up to score, they have to go back and guard that person's mark.

Even player that play offense have to play defense, like the midfielder have their man to cover, and  that's why they are running up and down the field.  The offensive positions are left/right forward, left outside and left inside.  And right outside/inside.

Usually offense scores most of the goal.  If you're playing midfield then you should be outside or push outward from the center so your teammates can send you  to the goal and score, or you can cross it from the corner flag so one of your teammates can put it in by a header.  A header is when you use your forehead to hit the ball.
