NBA Basketball Players 

    I am doing my web page on 4 famous basketball superstars. Their names are Michael Jordan, Carmelo Anthony, Jason Kidd, and Lebron James. 

   The first two players I decided to research were Michael Jordan and Jason Kidd. Jason is a veteran of the league and Michael is since retired. 

      If you ask anyone who the best player ever to play in the NBA was, 9 times out of 10 they will respond with the answer of Michael Jordan. He announced his final retirement after this past season of playing on the Washington Wizards. Michael is best known for his 10 year run playing with the Chicago Bulls in which he captured 6 NBA Titles. He has been in countless commercials and even starred in a movie in 1996. Michael was truly a NBA superstar. 

     Jason Kidd is a 9 year veteran of the league. He has been a part of the USA's "Dream Team" at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. He holds countless records at the University of California, which he only attended for 2 years. He was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 1994 and was later traded to the New Jersey Nets. He is currently one of the best players in the NBA and will probably continue to be throughout his career.

      Next I decided to research Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony. They are both rookies in the league this year.    

     Lebron James is a rookie in the NBA this year. Before you ever saw him play, you probably heard of his $90 million contract with Nike. Nike gave him this contract before he was signed to an NBA team, and before he even played in one college game. Lebron was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers straight out of high school. He was the first pick of the draft. He is currently 18 years old and one of the best players in the league today. He has won many awards and set many records in his high school career. So far this year, he is Cleveland's leading scorer for this season. He averages around 20 points per game. He is one of the most promising players in the league today.

      Carmelo Anthony is currently 19 years old and part of last year's NCAA Final Four Championship team. Even though he was a freshman last year as a part of the Syracuse Orangemen, he was the team leader. He was drafted in 2003 after his freshman year at Syracuse by the Denver Nuggets. He was selected as the third pick of the draft. He has also won many awards and set many records in his high school career. He is currently one of the leading scorers on the Denver Nuggets. You can be sure that you will be hearing a lot more about Carmelo in days to come.
