Halle's Childhood

Halle Berry was born on August 14, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born to African American father Jerome Berry, a hospital attendant, and Caucasian mother Judith Berry, a retired psychiatric nurse. Halle first came into the spotlight when she was in the Miss Teen All- American Pageant at the age of 17.  
A Great Role Model

Halle recently released a 'Public Service Announcement' about women and physical abuse so that they would have the strength to recognize the abuse and seek help.
Halle is a highly accomplished actress who has appeared in many movies. She also is the spokeswoman for Revlon Cosmetics.
Halle has been married twice. Her first marriage was to David Justice, to whom she wed in December 1992. They were divorced just four years later in 1996. In 2001, she married Eric Benét, but since then they have been separated.
Halle Berry has gone through many hardships and triumphs in her life. When Halle was just 4 years old, her parents divorced. Halle also is diabetic. On the other hand, she has been named "One of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People", Miss Teen All American, Miss Ohio USA, and Miss USA first runner-up. \
 She is recently starring in the movie "Gothica".
