Niagara Falls is one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world.  The falls are located partially in Canada and in the United States.  The Niagara Falls connect Lake Erie and Lake Ontario and is in the form of a waterfall because of the elevation differences in the two lakes.  Niagara falls was named from the indians that lived there in the past. The word "Niagara" means "Thunder of Waters"

The Niagara River is Actually a strait connecting the two Great Lakes of Erie and Ontario and it forms the great Niagara Falls. There are two parts to the Niagara Falls. One part is the Horseshoe, or Canadian Falls.  The other is the American Falls. The two Falls are separated by Goat Island.

There are both taller and wider waterfalls in the world than the Niagara Fall, but the pure majestic beauty of the falls attract millions every year to see it.  There are many experiences to do at the falls, and even more tourist attractions around them.  But for  whatever the reason, Niagara Falls is a great place to be at.
