Shannon Miller has accomplished many things during her gymnastics career.  One of these accomplishments is that she scored a 10.0 on balance beam in two meets in Switzerland.  In one of those competitions, she won gold on every event and the all-around. At the World Championships in 1991, Miller became the first American woman to qualify for the finals in every event.  At the trials for the 1992 Olympics, Shannon won the all-around.

At the trials, her her coach Nunno said, "It's no longer a question if Shannon is going to be on the Olympic team.  Now the question is how many medals she'll win in Barcelona.", and she won a lot of them.  Shannon won 5 medals, and 3 of them were in the same night.  Shannon was named the Most Dedicated American Athlete of the 1992 Olympic Games.  Shannon was on the National Team for seven years, from 1990 to 1997.  At the 1997 World University Games, Shannon won one gold and one silver medal.  Shannon won two gold medals at the 1996 Olympic Games.
