Courtney was born on July 27, 1986 in McLean, Virginia.  Her coaches are Kelli Hill and Jen Bundy.   Courtney was the World Champion on bars in 2002 and she was 2nd on bars in the 2002 Visa American Cup.  Courtney has competed in many international meets, including the 2000 Bluewater International Invitational in Canada, where she won the every event and the All-Around.  Courtney was in the Top 4 in Vault and Bars at the Glasgow Grand Prix in England.
Courtney was the 2003 World Champion, and the 2003 United States National Champ.  Some of Courtney's other accomplishments are that she placed first on floor, second in the All-Around, and third on bars at the 2003 Pacific Challenge in California.  Courtney was named the USA Gymnastics Female in 2003.
