Ashley Postell was born on June 9th 1986 in Cheverly, Md.  She is one of the many great gymnasts of today.  Ashley's favorite event is floor, even though she won the gold on balance beam at the World Championships in Hungary.  At the 2002 US World Championships, Ashley was third in the All-Around.  Ashley hopes to be on the next Olympic team. 

 

 

Ashley has been on the U.S. National team since 1997.  At the 2003 World Championships, Ashley placed first on floor, second on beam, and fourth on bars and in the All-Around.  At the 2003 U.S. Nationals, Ashley placed first on floor, second on balance beam, and fourth in the All-Around.  At the 2003 Pacific Challenge, she placed second on bars, third in the All-Around, fifth on balance beam, and eighth on vault.  At the 2003 American Cup, Ashley placed second on beam, third on vault and in the All-Around, and fourth on floor.  At the 2002 Worlds, Ashley placed first on beam and sixth on vault.  At the 2002 Zakharova Cup, Ashley placed first on beam, second on vault, third in the All-Around, and fourth on floor.  At the 2001 Glasgow Grand Prix, Ashley placed first on beam, second on floor, and sixth on vault.
