Snow sport lovers are always looking for new snow sports. For many years it was all about skiing then most skiers switched to snow board. So then for many, many years after that it was all about snowboarding.  But once you put the two together you end up with ski boarding

Ski boarding was invented in the early 1900's.  At that time is was only 63cm (2feet long).  So when it was first made they called it big foot. They called it that because it was narrow in the center and slightly wider on the ends. So it made it look like a foot but a really big one!

The narrow tips let it become easier to go forward and backwards and also sideways. like you would on a snow board. So that is where the cross is between skiing and snowboarding. And the bindings are like both skis and snowboard bindings.  they where made wide so that you can slip them on with out using yours hands but still making them tight enough so that your feet can't slip out of them.

Through out the years the more people who find out about them try them and end up falling in love with them in between the years 1996-1997 at least 30,000 ski boards where sold.
