He overcame a scary off - season medical problem. Had a cyst on his liver that caused him to be hospitalized in late April and early May. He has become the only other player than Jerome Bettis ( since 1996) to lead the team in rushing, with 762 yards on 193 carries.

Season:
Started off the season pretty good rushing and catching the football. October 6th against New Orleans had one of his biggest productive days as a pro. Finished with 34 yards on 5 carries and 3 receptions for 84 yards. Two weeks later had a career high of 87 yards on 15 carries. The next week made his first regular season start (2nd of career). At Cleveland, ran for 173 yards his first 100 yard rushing performance. A week after that he had 123 rushing yards. His second time breaking 100 yards. Had 2 great months at the beginning of the season. In late November, scored his first Pro touchdown a 25 yard screen pass. The next week against Minnesota he had a 4 yard touchdown run. Season:
He was a special teams player, waiting to become a running back. Did not play the first 2 games of the season. The first game he played was against Tennessee and registered 3 special teams tackles.
