To do a dive you must be out of water.  A few ways you can do a dive is by kneeling, a semi stand, or a standing dive.  When you dive you should stand with your toes curled over edge the platform.  When you push off push with your legs.  
       Your eyes should be diagonally forward and faced downward.  A flight is when your body extends and arch in the air.  When you enter the water your arms should be extended and enter first.  Your head should be tucked in between your arms while covering your ears.                  When you do a kneeling dive you kneel on the edge of the pool with all of your weight on one leg.  You tuck your chin to your chest and extend your arms.  Your arms should be at a 45 degree angle and point you toes.

             When You do a standing dive slightly bend your legs with both feet together.  you still put your arms in the same position.  When you begin to take off  bend your knees then straighten them during take off.  

        When you do a semi standing dive you put in foot on the edge of the pool just like a kneeling dive.  That will prevent you from slipping off the edge.  You press your head downwards while pushing your leg forward.  when you enter the water point your fingertips put your legs together and make your legs straight.  You make an arch underwater and when you come up you will start doing a stroke.
