Ross powers got his first snowboard on Christmas day in 1987. Since then, he has been hooked on snowboarding.

He became world champion before he turned 18. He is known as "the first", "the best" and "the youngest".

He won the gold medal in the 2002 Olympics games in the men's half pipe. he also won the bronze medal in the 1988 winter Olimpic games in the men's half pipe.

he was also a gold medalist i the 2000 Goodwill Games and the Gravity games.

Ross Powers also runs his own snowboarding camp for all ages on Stratton Mountain, Vermont.

All of the money he makes from the camp goes directly to the Ross Powers Foundation. This foundation supports young athets from Vermont that dont have enough money to act in that sport. The foundation helps them get a career started
