Memmel was born in West Allis Wisconsin on June 23,1988.
At the age of 15, she still
lives in West Allis Wisconsin.
Her coach is Jim Chudy, and she belongs to a club called Salto. Chellsie is in tenth grade and she is home schooled. She began gymnastics when she was 1 year old in 1989. Chellsie lives with her mom, dad, and two sisters. Her sisters are Mara and Skyler. Mara does mainly artistic gymnastics, and Skyler does both artistic and rhythmic gymnastics. Her mom is a gymnastics teacher, and a club owner. Both of Chellsie's parents were all American gymnasts. Chellsie's favorite subject is math, and in the future she hopes to be a gymnastics teacher.

Chellsie has already competed in the 2003 world championship in Anaheim California. She came in 1st for team, 1st for the uneven bars, and 6th on the balance beam. The Pan American Games in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic. She came in first again for team, 1st on the uneven bars, and 3rd on the balance beam. She also competed in the Pacific Challenge, which is the United States, Canada, and Australia competing, it was held in Fullerton California. In 2002, she competed in a US, UKR, and Britain team meet. A US, Mexico Dual Meet held in Houston Texas, US, Belgium Dual Meet held in Houston TX.). And in 2002, she was in a US verses France meet in St. Etienne, France, and the Copa Puerto Rico Internationals.
