Vert Course

In the vert course you use a skate with a grind plate to grind on the coping at the top of a half pipe. The coping is waxed so you can grind easily. The half pipe is usually 10 to 14 feet high and about 20 to 80 feet wide. |
| Most Professional skaters air out of the half pipe from 6 to 10 feet. These skaters do tricks such as grabs and double flips. These tricks are high risk tricks and take years of practice. You should only do these tricks with someone so if you get hurt. |
