Emmit Smith was born on May,15,1969 in Pensacola Florida. Emmit was named after his dad who was named after his grandfather so his mother immediately gave Emmit a nickname. The nickname was scoey she named him that after her favorite comedian. When people described Emmit they said football and family because his family came before everything that he had to do. As a child it was always Emmit's dream to play football for the Dallas Cowboys and ever since he was a little boy he's been working to make his dream become a reality. When he was seven he played in a league for his first time. When he turned eight he was so good they had him play with the ten-year olds. And ever since then he was always playing with kids that were 3-4 years older than him. When he went to an away game once and he was twelve and he rushed for a big amount of yards[over two hundred] that game and the other team was full of 16- year olds! They just couldn't find a way to stop him. And then he made his dream into a reality he went to college at Florida and started all four years getting over a thousand yards each year and ended up with over six thousand yards in all four years. Then he was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys and helped them to win 3 super bowls two against the Buffalo Bills back to back then in 1996 they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers
