This movie takes place in the 1920's in the city of Chicago.Everyone wants to be a star but there's only room for one. Velma Kelley (played by Caterine Zeta-Jones) is a very famous vaudeville act at that time. She discovers that her husband was cheating on her with her sister so she killed them both. She ends up in "Murderess Row" where she hires Chicago's most famous laywer,Billy Flinn. Being in jail only makes her more famous than she already is. Roxie Hart (played by Renée Zellweger) would die to be like Velma Kelley. So when she finds out that her boyfriend lied to her she murders her husband and ends up in "Murderess Row" too. She becomes a star and also hires Billy Filnn and steals the spotlight away from Velma Kelley. They are both proven innocent and are released from jail.
