It takes hard work to get inside position, so once you get it, DON'T give it up. To do this use your butt. Turn your butt towards the opponent's stomach. This is called boxing out. Make sure to keep your opponent behind you. |

When you rebound try to get both of your feet off of the floor when you jump. Your arms should be extended above your head reaching out for the ball. Make sure to grab the ball with both of your hands. When some players do not have a good grip on the ball and it gets knocked out of their hands. |
Most rebounding teams are winners. Successful rebounding wins games that are close. Most shots in games are missed. Therefore, rebounding will help the team get another shot. |

When your teammate shots the ball, never think that the ball is going to go into the basket. You should think that the ball is going to miss and go in for the rebound. Most shots shot on one side will come off on the other side. If you rebound the ball put it right back up. Don't wait, then someone might be right in your face. |
