The outlook on drums, cymbals, hardware, and Pro drummers

 

           Drumsets are sets of drums that are stacked  on top of each other so you can play them all at the same time.  Standard sets have 5 drums.  They have 2 toms, a floor tom, a bass drum and a snare drum.  They usually have 3 cymbals.  A Hi-hat, a Ride cymbal and a Crash cymbal.Sets can Range anywhere from $350 and up.  Different brands make different quality sets.  Some brands are Pearl, DW, Ludwig, Arbitor, Mapex, Pacific, Yamaha, and Gretsch.

          Cymbals are used to add effects to your drumset.  There are many different makers and types of cymbals.  Some different types of cymbals are Rides, Splashes, Chinese, Mini Chinese, Crashes, Hi-hats and Gongs.  Some of the well known cymbal makers are Sabian, Zildian, Paste, Wuhan and Pearl.

 

 

          Latin Percussion consists of many different hand drums and effect instruments.  There are many different hand drums. For instance: bongos, congas, timbales, djembas and batas. Effect Percussion also consists of many things.  For instance: wood blocks, cowbells, tang tangs, clave blocks, and agogos.

        The drummer is the most essential part of a band.  Without a drummer there would not be a steady beat.  There are so many different drummers out there.  Here is a few common names.  Rick Allen, Abe Laboriel Jr., Mike Portney, Robbie Ameen, Rashied Ali, and Ringo Star.  All of these drummers are really good so I will tell you about all 6.
