Jim was the youngest of four children.  He started doing stand up acts at age 10 in front of his classmates.  At an early age Carrey's family was forced to move and live in a Volkswagen camper van.  When Jim's first show The Duck Factory fell flat it gave him the confidence to pursue acting more vigorously.  He scored his first lead role in Once Bitten in 1985 and a supporting role in Peggy Sue Got Married.  Damon Wayans started Carrey's first comedy show In Living Color.  Jim's movie The Mask made the audience wonder how far Carrey's features would be stretched.  Carrey won a Golden Globe award for The Truman Show.  The last movie Jim starred in was Bruce Almighty.
