As a boy Adam was a shameless class clown.  He never considered using his gifts of humor to pursue a career till the age of 17. His brother was the first person to encourage him to attend an amateur comedy competition.  Later he attended New York University to pursue his career.  Sandler's first appearance was on The Cosby Show.  His major discovery was from Dennis Miller.  Adam's first movie was Going Overboard in 1989.  It served as an interesting parallel to his actual career trajectory but did little to display his true comic talents.  Later when SNL producer's took Miller's praise to heart and hired the fledging comic as a writer on the program, at that moment Sandler's talents were set to shine.  Since then Sandler has appeared in several funny movies.  His all time top selling are Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, The Wedding Singer, Coneheads, and Billy Madison.  Sandler's most recent movie is Anger Mangement with Jack Nicholson.
