The Bulldog and You A Bulldog is a combination of formidable exterior and victorian sentimentality which makes the "sour mug" so appealing, but the first and most outstanding characteristic is disposition. The Bulldog is the perfect pet for limited living quarters. The Bulldog is one of the gentlest because it never starts fights and is not aggressive. The breeds motto is peace or else. They are spacious, easy going, non-bouncing, and rarely barks. It also loves to ride in anything, it rarely gets car sick, easy to take care of, short-haired, and doesn't have to be plucked or trimmed. The ears are never cropped, and the tail is never docked. The breed doesn't growl or snap at visitors and it has no sense of uneasiness when strangers come up to, near, or in the house. Plus the Bulldog doesn't bite children when they are playing with the dog or when the child or children are on the dog gently or a little heavily. The breed needs the simplest sort of grooming, a steady exercise (not a lot), and is not a one-man dog. The breed does, however, have a favorite member of the family, but it dose has a heart to love everyone. The Bulldog doesn't rush forward snarling, but comes rolling in, slowly, silently, with an air of unflinching determination that is awesome. |
