The stick is the instrument that is used to shoot and pass the puck.  It is long piece of wood, graphite, and kevlar with a curved blade on the bottom.  this stick shown is the vector.
The helmet protects your head from severe injury.  It is usually made from a plastic shell with padding inside.  It also has a cage on it to protect you from getting hit in the face with the puck or stick.
The shoulder pads help protect your shoulders and chest and stomach.  they have a piece plastic covered by a layer of foam and material.
The  elbow pads protect the elbows.  They have a piece of plastic covered by foam and material.
Hockey pants protect your thighs and your lower back.
Shin pads protect your shins and your ankles.
Skates go on your feet.  They have a blade on the bottom and it has a concave pattern to skate on.
