It all started when Enzo A. Ferrari was a little boy and had dreams of having his own racing car company. He started testing cars in 1918. When he realized he was meant for the car business.
Around that same time him and his brother decided to start their own racing company. They have won quite a few races too. The Ferrari brothers have been producing cars for over 50 years now. And there has been over 100 models made; 125 to be exact.
Ferrari's business first raced in 1919. But it was 1923 when he won his first at Circuito del Savio, and he met Count Barraca. Who was the father of Italian flying ace Francesco Barrraca. He had prancing horses on his plane and that is how Ferrari got his idea for the cars symbol the horse.
In 1929, a club to get people racing was made. It was called Scuderia Ferrari. Ferrari later had two children Alfredo and Dino; who later became the owners of the business.
Finally in 1943 Ferrari built his own factory to house his own machines. In 1945 he came out with his own car the V12 1500cc, and it was first raced in May 1947. He came in second place and therefore a legendary car was born.
