Guitars have been around since the middle ages. Although they are not like the ones today. they were smaller and had more strings. they originated in western Europe.
Acoustic guitars used to now      electric guitars have  6 strings and great tone. they come in different designs, colors, and size not just 2inch and hollow, they can be as thin as about 1\2inch and still have the options of a normal sized guitar
