There are several kinds of Lovebirds with various colors. The usual colors are red, orange, yellow, blue, black, and green. They're tails are also very bright and colorful. They usually have blue, black and, green mixed tails. Lovebirds also have colorful beaks. Their beaks are used for eating, climbing, and protection. Lovebirds beaks are usually a bright color with black when they are babies, but as they grow up their beaks loose their black and become all one color. |

| Lovebirds love to be handled and are great companions. They are also very easy to hold. With strong beaks like this lovebirds love to swoop and swing through the trees. When picking up a Lovebird you have to stay calm because they can sense fear and won't let you hold them if they think you're not too sure. Also to pick them up you need to pick them up by pushing your hand on their stomach's. | ||

| Lovebirds are usually found in Africa, Madagascar, and a few Islands in the Indian Ocean. They eat all sorts of fruits, grains like pasta and wheat, and even meats. These birds especially like seeds and dried fruit pieces. Really the only food Lovebirds can't eat is CHOCOLATE. Chocolate is very bad for their digestive systems! Other than chocolate they aren't picky. | ||
